Humor

I have three daughters and when they fall asleep they are all very heavy sleepers.  Our youngest moves around a lot in her sleep and we will find her in peculiar positions that seem unnatural and difficult to sleep in many a night.  We rearrange her only to find she keeps moving throughout the night. Anyways, she not only does this at night, but also during the day.  Here is a picture of her after she rolled off the couch and landed right between the couch and ottoman and somehow remained asleep.

That's beautiful! The best, well, only advice I took from my mother with regards to parent was with regards to sleeping. She said, "(F)reddy, do yourself a favor. Don't alter the noise level in your house, EVER. Don't whisper when they're sleeping, don't turn the t.v. down or off. If you make it quiet for them in the beginning while they're sleeping, they'll always NEED it quiet." And it's worked. I vacum next to my kids as the boo is singing them to sleep, I hang drywall in the bathroom, have my air compressor running in the kitchen (my house is a constant construction site). Kid's really can, and will, sleep anywhere.

What a great pic. Kids can sleep anywhere at any time. Come to think of it, so can Mr. Weasel.

I too got the "don't adjust the noise level" advice from my mother. She was absolutely right. Emily slept through our weekly bowling outings, backyard cookouts featuring live music, her dad's softball games, etc. etc.

She actually still takes a daily nap after work and sleeps at least eight hours every night. She definitely did not get these sleep patterns from me. I never nap unless I am unwell and am a lifelong nightowl.

My boy is like that. When he's asleep he's just a sack of taters. I never know what direction I'll find him when I wake him up in the morning.

HAH!!!!!!! Oh my goodness! smilies/cheesy.gif That is hilarious. And great that she stays asleep! If I look at my kids sideways while he's sleeping he'll wake up screaming. LOL!!!!

She is just too cute!!!

It's so true, kids can sleep anywhere. My youngest can fall asleep anywhere, but does not stay asleep. She's just past three now and still does not sleep through the night. Her older sister sleeps like a brick, and that's a good thing because they share a room.
