Awesome Mickey Mouse Hibachi from Disney World

on Sunday, 06 June 2010. Posted in Joeprah, My Family

Check out this awesome video we took at our recent trip to Disney World. At Teppan Edo, a hibachi style restaurant in Epcot Japan, the chef was incredible. His volcano was extremely creative and really entertaining for us all to watch as he created it.

None of us knew what he was up to until the picture became a little clearer. Roll tape!

Guilty Looking Kid

As parents, there are many times we are faced with the challenge of trying to determine the guilty party among our children. Who did it this time? With three daughters ages 10, 7 and 5, it can be daunting task for me to even begin to narrow it down. It isn’t impossible though. Through ten years of training I have come up with some methods for determining guilt, and probably more importantly not giving your young child a chance to lie.

Narrowing down the suspects:

Most of the time, the kid crime (a crime committed by a child that is actually more of an annoyance than an actual crime) itself is what helps us eliminate some of the possible suspects.

RedEnvelope For the Win

redenvelSo, one of the great benefits of being a blogger is the opportunity to find out about great products and companies. This Father's Day has proven to be a perfect example of why it's awesome to be a blogger all thanks to a company called RedEnvelope.

Let me explain. For those of you who don't know this--I like beer. I'm not talking I like to drink Coors Lite over ice or that I can't wait to pound Budweisers on the weekend, I like good beer--micro-brews. I like walking into a good liquor store and seeing tons of new micro-brews and trying to decide which one I am going to try. I usually always walk out of the store with four six packs as my imagination gets the best of me. So, when RedEnvelope let me pick a Father's Day gift from their online shop on the house--I couldn't help but go with the MR Beer home brew kit.

Feedburner Problem [Solved]

on Tuesday, 24 November 2009. Posted in Joeprah, Tech Tips

feedburner* This is a nerdy Tech Tip post, so kindly disregard if you don't need Feedburner assistance *

OK, so many of you know that I co-run Dad-Blogs with my partner in crime Pete Janelle. What some of you might not know is that we have been struggling with a broken feed over there. Feedburner stopped reading our feed and we kept getting the same error message:

(404) Feed not found error: FeedBurner cannot locate this feed URL

It started back in July of this year and we finally resolved the problem and I thought I would share the answer so that those out there struggling with the same issue can know how we finally resolved our Feedburner dilemma.

After disabling and enabling every possible Joomla component, module and plugin I came to a dead end. Finally, I resolved to take it to my hosting company again. I say again because we had brought the problem to their attention in the past, but they had found no solution. I decided to approach the problem differently this time. Instead of asking, "Why isn't Feedburner able to pick up our feed?" I decided to go a different route. Our hosting service is InMotion and they are fantastic I must say, and here's what I asked to get the ball rolling:
